Recently, dr Andrzej Bryl has paid a visit to ESA’s befriended Ukrainian special police unit – BIRKUT. ESA founder went to Dnipropetrovsk on the invitation of Col. Andriey Tkatchenko - the battalion Commander. The meeting focus was on a security co-operation model for the nearest 2012 UEFA European Football Championship hosted by Poland and Ukraine.
The co-operation model includes a two-year series of training courses both in Poland and Ukraine. The courses will be practical exercises , based on exchange of experience, joined trainings and presenting working methods. The area of activity will cover protecting mass events together with back-up operations and logistics. A special cautiousness will be given to organization and secure traveling, staying and participating of the VIPs in the event, from both state and business sectors.
The training courses will be preparing to work in foreign country, therefore it will include rules of law, methods and procedures of operating abroad and back-up form for agents-residents protecting VIPs on their territories.
Training courses, apart from practical, will also include strategic exercises, both taking place in Delta Special Training Center. Operational and logistic organization tasks will be based on integrated mobile bases within the hosts’ territory. The trainees’ preparation will be supported by American special units’ agents, who have experience in VIP protection during mass events, e.g. The Olympic Games. The framework of training system as well as the work foundations will be verified by DEP – ESA during security procedures of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. Dr Andrzej Bryl, while visiting Ukraine, has presented a part of the training projects for the above-cited events. Furthermore, he presented ESA’s abilities and special training center for VIP protection. Birkut’s commander-in-chief had the opportunity to visit the ESA Center, while paying visit to Regional Police Headquarters in Wroclaw and Poznan in connection with EURO.
The established co-operation perfectly reveals the abilities of police, state and private sectors’ collaboration. The scale of state’s and private agencies’ security is alike. Security companies’ services cover the work of prevention, congested units and staff. The VIP protection within the Bussines area corresponds to the Government Protection Bureau security procedures /The Ukrainian unit which collaborates with ESA has already protected their national football team on site/.

Training and planning of the security system together with the Ukrainian side, comprises to enhancing safety and consequently satisfaction with the service and flawlessly performed tasks.
